2022 State Softball Tournament

Day 6
The State Softball came to an end on Thursday as Boyd County defeated Clay County 17-3.  For Boyd County, Brooklyn Jacobs and Haeleigh Sharp each had a double and single .   Lacyn Black(2) Jordan Fraley, and Lindsey Roberts had doubles.  Emilee Bush(2) and Haley Walters had base hits.  For Clay County Anna Samples  had a double and Lilly Smith added a single.

Day 5
With great weather on Wednesday another softball championship was decided in one game and  a great comback in the othe game.
9-10 Year old Division
Jackson County won the state championship defeating Fleming County 4-1.  For Jackson County, Sofia  Martinez had a double and a single Kylee MartinJasey Estridge and Marley Coffey had base hits.  In the circle  Jasey Estridge  allowed one run on two hits and had 10 Strikeouts.   For Fleming County,  Alivia Donovan had  a triple.  Katie Black added a double.
10-12 Year Old Division
 Clay County overcame a 6-0 deficit to beat Marion County 7-6 as they scored four times in the bottom of the sixth inning as Presley Griffin had a game winning triple.  Rylee Lewis and Anna Samples eachhad a double and two hits.  Presley Griffin added a double. and Maddie Craft(3),  Holly Hacker, Bailey Gregory and Ryleigh Chestnut had base hits. For Marion County, Maci Hiutchins had a double.  Kendall Thompson(2), Bridgette Farris, kaylee Tucker, Raini Sidebottom and Marley Stout had base hits. Gracie Shaver had a triple.


Day 4
The State Softball Tournament at Walsh Park  in LaGrange had its  fourth days of games as two more teams were eliminated in the tournaments.
10-12 Year Old Division
Boyd County and Clay County played in the winners bracket as Boyd County topped Clay County 14- 3.  For Boyd County, Jordan Frailey had a double among her three hits. Laceyn Black and Brooklyn Jacobs each had a double and asingle. Haley Sharp,Emilee Bush, Haley Walters and Hailey Bowling had base hits.  For Clay County, Holly Hacker, Anna Samples, Presley Griffin,Ella Samples had base hits.
In the Elimination game Marion County didn't waste any time as they beat South Central Floyd  15-1.  For Marion County,  kendall Thompson lead the way with a triple and a double among her four hits.  Kaylee Tucker(2)Bridgette Farris(3),Chazity Farris,
Joelle Haoeck(2), Olivia Spaulding, Hayden Buckler(3) and Garrett Addison had base hits..Marley Stout added a triple.   
For  South Central Floyd,   Brooklyn Sammas had a double..
8-10 Year Old Division
Fleming County reached the finals from the losers bracket beating  Trace Creek 7-2  For Fleming County, Brynlee Black, Gracie Hickerson and HJ thrasher each had a double and a single. Katie Black had two hits. For Trace Creek, Avery Preston(2), Maddie Call and Audrey Knifley had base hits
Day 3

We had a great weather and some exciting plays the State Softball Tournament had their third day of Play as one state championship was decided.

9-11 Year Old Division

Knott County claimed the state Championship in the 9-11 Year Old Division as they defeated North Oldham 20-2.  For Knott County, Averie Ratliff had atwo triples, a double and a single.  Emily Waddle had a double. Caroline Moberly- had a double and two singles. S, Abby Gentry(2), Shelbie Blair and Addison Spencer had base hits. For North Oldham, Kyle Perdue had their only hit.

10-12 Year Old Division

In the first game Boyd County picked up another win as they defeated the South Central Floyd County 13-3.   For Boyd County, Hailey Bowling had a triple.  Brooklyn Jacobs and Lacyn Black each had two singles and a double.  Jordon Frailey had a triple and a single.   Emilee Bush(3), Haley Walters and Lexi McKnight had base hits.  Lindsey Roberts add a double.  Pitchers Brooklyn Jacobs and and Hailey Sharp combined for 13 Strikeouts and allowed no hits.

In the elimination game, Marion County sent home South Oldham as they blanked them 10-0  behind the pitching  of Addison Garrett.   For Marion County, Kaylee Tucker, Joelle Hoeck and Ann Hayden Buckler had doubles. Kendalll Thompson had a homerun. Maci Hutchins added a triple.  Addison Garrett(3), Raini  Sidebottom and Olivia Spalding had base hits.

8-10 Year Old Division,

Jackson County shutout Trace Creek 10-0 to advance in the winner’s bracket. For Jackson County, Sofia Martinez had a triple. Hannah Gabbard, Kylee Martin, Jasey Coffey and  Hadley Stewart had base hits. Tilly Truett added a triple.  For Trace Creek, Aubrie Knifley and kyndell Wood had base hits.

In the second game,  Fleming County scored three times in the first inning to eliminate South Oldham 3-0.  For Fleming County, Ellory Flora pitched six more shutout innings with 16 strikeouts and allowed no hits in the circle and added a 2 run double at the plate. Brynlee Black(2), Allivia Donovan, HJ Thrasher, and Gracie Hickerson  had base hits.

Day 2
After a monsoon of a day on Saturday, the State Softball Tournament resumed on Sunday as Walsh Park had a big crowd and great games.

10-12 Year Old Division

                In the 12-year-old division, Boyd County took care of Marion County 8-2.  For Boyd County , in the circle, Lacyn Black had 14 strikeouts and allowed just two hits and two runs and at the plate  had a double and a single.  Haley Sharp had two doubles. Emily Bush, Jordan Fraley, Lauren Jurts and Haley Walters (2) had base hits.   For Marion County, Addison Garrett and Chazity Farris had base hits. 

In the second game Clay County scored five times in the second inning as they picked up a 8-5 win over South Oldham.  For Clay County, Presley led the Way with a double and two singles. Anna Samples had a double and a single.  Bailey Gregory added a double.  Rryn Blevins, Jayla  asher and Rylee Lewis(2)  had base hits.  For South Oldham, Maddie Dorsey had a triple and two singles.  Haiden Thompson(2), Maddy Blackaby, Katie Robbins and Lauren Adkerson had base hits.

8-10 Year Old Division

Trace Creek put four on the scoreboard in the sixth inning as they beat South Oldham 14-10.   For Trace Creek,  Parker Jessie had a triple and a single. Aubrey Knifley  added a double. Maddie Call(3), ,Deya Griffin(2), Sage Allen(3), Giselle Allen and lauren Canada had base hits.  For South Oldham, Micah Wilson and Nora Morton had base hits.

In the second game, Jackson County need an extra inning as they beat Fleming County 2-0 in seven innings.   For Jackson County, Sofia Martinez and Jasey Estridge both had triples and scored in the seventh inning. Tilly Truett, Karley Turner and Hannah Gabbard base hits. For Fleming County, Haleigh Trasher had a a base hit.

9-11 Year Old Division

,Knott County scored in every inning to beat North Oldham 17-0.  For Knott County, Averie Ratliff had a homerun to lead off the game.  Abbie Gentry(2) Caroline Moberly(2), Zoey Gadsey (3) and Emily Waddle had base hits


The 2022 State Softball Tournament for 10's, 11's, & 12's  year olds will be held in District 2  at North Oldham Little League in LaGrange at Walsh Park    July 9th to July 13th
