Day 4 -Game Highlights


Day 4 at the Little League Baseball State Tournament in Lexington the weather cooperated early in the first games but cause problems in the second games with rain delay and more rain and lightning late to shorten some games.
10 Year Olds
Daviess County 6 - Eastern 4
In the first semi-Finals game Daviess County scored four times in the fifth inning beat Eastern 6-4. For Daviess County, Justin Maxey, Jake Watkins, Carson Ashby, Bryer Stone, Bennett Mason and Kaden Knott had base hits. Jake Watkins pitched four innings to get the win. Luke Abbott got the save with two innings of work.
Morehead 3 - North Laurel 1
After allowing a run in the first inning Morehead pitchers Barrett Vance and Duke Armstrong held North Laurel scoreless for the rest of the game for a 3-1 win and combined for 8 strikeouts in advancing to the championship game.  For Morehead, Duke Armstrong(2), Case Tripplett, Landon Thomas, Easton Charles(2). Cole Stiltner, Barrett Vance and Michael Strobel had base hits. For North Laurel, Luke Woodyard(2), Brody Burgress, Hunter Warren and Tucker Parman(2) had base hits. Brody Burgress pitched four innings getting seven strikeouts.
Championship game Wednesday 12:00pm Daviess County vs Morehead

11 Year Olds
Eastern 7 - North Oldham 5
After giving up five runs in the bottom of the fourth inning Eastern rally for five runs in the fifth inning to beat North Oldham 7-5 to advance to the title game.  For Eastern, Maxwell Fletcher had a triple. Brady Whelan knocked in the go ahead run with a double.  Cash Johnson had a double and a single. Kingston Hudspeth(2), Banks Wilkinson and Tyler Davies had base hits. Banks Wilkinson picked up the win in relief. For North Oldham, Nathan Hoffman had a double and a single. Max West, Levi Withrow and Nolan Stethen had base hits. Brady Noe had five strikeouts on the hill.
Adair County 4 - Bowling Green East 3
In a rain shortened game Adair County advanced to the Championship game with a 4-3 win over Bowling Green East. Adair County had a four run second inning.  For Adair County, Karson Richard, Beau Melton, Jarred Hughes and Kaden Jackson had base hits.  Bentley Petty allowed three runs and had four strikeouts in getting te win.. For Bowling green East, Asa Buchanan had a double. Dylan White, Pipes Gaines, Caleb Harbin(2), Brady Boyd, Chase Martin and Montana Reynolds ad base hits.  Pipes Gaines allowed four hits and had seven strikeouts in five innings of work.
 

Championship Game Wednesday 12:00pm   Eastern vs Adair County

12 Year Olds
Warren County South14 - Washington County 3
Warren County South had two five run innings as they defeated Washington County 14-3 to punched their ticket to the championship game. For Warren County South, Will Roberts had a homerun and a single with 4 Rbi’s. Thomas Fentress added a homerun. Max Lobb and Easton Shank each had a double.  Wyatt Watson(2), Jakob Whalen(2) and Nate Oliver ad base hits. Pitchers, Easton Shank, Max Lobb and Jaxon Griffin combined for 9 strikeouts and allowing three hits.  For Washington County, Drew Coulter had a double. Anderson Saucedo and Kaden Wright had base hits.
Eastern 7 - North Oldham 1
Eastern scored three run in the second and fourth inning to beat North Oldham 7-1 in a rain shortened game to advance to the Championship game. For Eastern, Brady Nahra had a double.
Eli Scott, John Cooper Sawyer, Sammy Giles(2), Jack Clickner(2) and Carter Mack had base hits. Pitchers Rhodes McCullough, Jack Clickner and Matt Schlarman combined allowing one run and two hits and having 6 strikeouts in four innings of work.  For North Oldham, Keaton Neuner had two singles and a Rbi.
Championship Game Wednesday 12pm Warren County South vs Eastern
